I'm wanting to swap the newer type column (with ignition on it) with an older type. (with nothing on it, because key was in dash then)
Does anybody know if it's just an easy swap or would I need different parts and such to make the swap?

Thanks guys. Dang. I liek the simplicity of the earlier columns, I don't want all the extra stuff on it. If I were to go with power steering are the later years better?

There IS an earlier model Landcruiser column [without key provisions] that has the four bolt flange setup like the 73 and newer columns at the firewall. A little hard to find, but not impossible.
I think I have two of them left.
