I am really wanting to move out of Natomas Park, as it becomes more and more Del Paso hieghts Park.
Am looking at roseville/rocklin/lincoln area and cameron park/shingle springs/placervill area. With a 6 month old, im also having to consider school disctricts and neighborhoods.
Can anyone tell me how the schools are in these areas, or whree to look for school ratings and such?

Here is a site for the ratings for El Dorado County schools. If you click on the individual school sites it will give you somewhat of a breakdown. Scroll down after clicking on an idividual school, and there is some good info on the town or city you are interested in as well.

I'm pretty happy with the El Dorado County school district.
good luck

Rocklin High recently became the #1 High School in Placer County. The schools are very good. Neighborhoods too.
Here is a site where you can compare all schools in the area with one another and on a statewide scale.

I am a high school teacher so I know this stuff.
What you want to look at is the API scores on those links redheck posted. (Academic Performance Index)
The goal API for every school in CA is to reach 700. Any school with 700 and above SHOULD be a great school.

Don't look at districts on a whole, but the schools themselves. A district could be overall good, but if you pick a school with a doofus for a principal then the school will reflect that.
