I still run steel cable, just for the fact its cheap to get around here and we have so much dirt and mud, I'd think a rope would be garbage in no time if you pay any attention to what dirt and mud does to rope wear.

Do the rules require us to run rope? And if I were to throw some rope on my winch is there a minumum length requirment?

WE Rock requires rope for competition.

i think its 50'. check the werock rule book. also, just call brian at front range and get a rope. just have it for comps, then put your cable back in for trail rides. thats what i did last year:D
