I finished pulling the 2F out of Kate.
:( Believe it or not, I am sad to see her go :(
We have been through a lot together, but it is time to move on....
I installed my 1" body lift today and finished cleaning up the engine bay.
Now it is time to drop in the LT-1....
More later

saw this and thought you may be ditching the whole car :smokin:
but just the engine swap....... nothing wrong with two more cylinders :D :flipoff2: especially when you only started with four (like me)

Trust me the first time you mash the go pedal on that hill climb its all good and you'll be thankful for the extra power, especially getting to the trail and in the sand.....

My 2F and I still have plenty to go through, so I treated her nicely and gave her a new coat during the rebuild!!:D

I love the 2F, but I got the bug to build something a bit more of a driver...305 TPI, NV4500, split case, FJ60 steering box, etc...

I finally figured out how toattach a picture. Damn I am retarded...
Here's a shot of my engine compartment... the canister on the RH firewall is the fuel reservior I made from a '78 FJ40 charcoal canister. There is a cheapo electric pump supplying the reservoir and the High pressure pump(Under the brake m/c) is a used one out of a 80's datsun 280Z. they are $18 bucks at ecology versus the $180 for the aftermarket stuff so I figure I can replace it nine more times...

Looks great! Where is the Mass Air Sensor on your setup? I am trying to find all the parts to set up my air filter like a stock F body with the closed system.
Have you had any problems with the K and N sitting out front?
Sure would save me some $$ that way!

It is a '91 TPI setup so it uses the MAP sensor... instead of the Mass Air Flow. the K&N is temporary, still poking around the junkyards for a nice aircleaner box... I am going to run the hose/duct under the radiator hose and put the air cleaner on the drivers side fenderwell. I am not sure here I would put a MAF with the LT1 but I thinkthere are plenty of cars in the junkyards to poke around to find bits and pieces of ducting that would work.
There is a book -TPI Swappers guide that has lots of cool little ideas, but overall not much for the LT1... What are you going to do for the speed sensor on the tranny tailhousing? It controls the shifting on the 4L60E's and somehow needs to be before the t-case IIRC...

Sunray Engineering makes an adapter and speed sensor "kit" that is 1" versus the 4" adapter that AA sells.
