SAS means Solid Axle Swap, as in taking an IFS truck and installing a solid axle. That year GM came stock with a solid front axle, thus that is NOT a SAS. :flipoff2:

Just trying to help.

Don't worry, I know what SAS means. I'm going to do it to my Yota. I just figured it'd get your attention.

This might be shit-chat, but so are a lot of the "Look at my pics from the last run" posts. And I don't like going to that forum anyways. Those people are creepy:flipoff2:
Just in case you think it's still too much of chit-chat, I'll throw in a tech question:
If I chrome out my leaf packs, will it help them slide, like the teflon pads do?

No, but if you get your frame anodized it'll increase its tensile strength by between 10-15%.:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :shaking:

What, you mean my IFS? That pick will be here soon (not soon enough:( )

For real, though. With the leaf springs, and teflon pads or whatever-people spray them with graphite paint or whatever, and it's supposed to move easier. How much does that really help, and where do you get it? I haven't seen it before.

I posted this a week ago:flipoff2:

Not enought to make it worthwhile, I mean how much do you think the friction between leaves, really limits flex???? With the stresses on the springs, I jsut can't see it making a difference. Teh only difference is taht it is probably used to make the springs a bit more quiet.
