has anyone done this one? which clutch/flywheel do you use? I know I use the chevy bellhousing and drill and tap a couple of new holes to mount it, I was just wondering if the ford t18 and chevy t18 used the same size shaft for the throwout bearing to ride on. if they did, then the chevy clutch should work, right?

thanks for any help:smokin:

You need to use a Chevy pressure plate and a Ford clutch disc. You should be able to find a combination that is the same diameter. That's what I used for my setup, with a Buick V6 and a Ford T-18. As far as the throwout bearing, AA recomended the throwout bearing from I think an early '80s Ford truck with the 300 cid inline 6. If you call either AA or Novak they shoud be able to give you the correct part number. I don't believe Chevy ever used a T-18 in a stock configuration.

aaaah, simple:shaking: !
chevy stuff on the motor, and ford stuff on the tranny, eh? well, as long as the disc fits inside the pressure plate and lines up with it, it should be fine then. thanks, I'll call novak tomorrow and ask 'em, I gotta call anyway.
