Hell Yeah go for it dude! You'll be up in the sky so hiiiiiiigh. It'll totally rock at the mall. Everyone will look and be like "Damn check out that tall ass Jeep"

Then they'll pause and say "Why the hell is that damn thing so tall and rolling with those dougnut tires, that's totally :rainbow:. Why go SOA w/ 4.5" springs to clear 33's or 35's:confused:. Are those stock axles too, dayum it's like 4 times as tall as it is wide. Oh sh!t look- he just idled around a right turn and rolled."

Go for it:rolleyes:  :shaking: :shaking:

WTF??

I never said i was going to keep the 4.5 if i did a SOA. I am also going to go with full size axels. I just wanted input on weather i was going to get better performance or not, from the soa.

Thanks for the hammering i needed a good laugh.

you'll be pretty happy with the spring over, but thanks for clearifing everything, it did sound like you wanted to use those springs, and bigdude likes to jump on people with uneducated ideas.

Man, you guys are assholes. I'd hate to be a newbie again. Vic, keep it like it is. It works good, and besides you don't have your stock springs anymore.:flipoff2:

My bad on your first post, I didn't get what you were asking. If you're going through a swap I would recommend SOA. I've run Alcans SUA and had friends with RE EX-D SUA on their YJ's. We all went SOA with our axle swaps. My YJ rides better now than before (even though the Alcans were cushy) and the suspension appears much more nimble SOA and full-width (although with only 2 weeks out of the garage I have not fully tested it, 'cept for my private rock garden).

You'll be happy with the results. I also have about a dozen YJ packs in my garage (from a fioled plan to make my own packs) so if you want some I can ship if you pay for it. I think it'll be around $10/spring for Fed-Ex ground.....

....and FatCity just likes to rag on me because I'm a poser:D

Go SOA, and mix and match 4.5" springs with stockers to get the desired ride height, and spring rate. Josh C, runs SOA on his Scout II with 4" lift main springs, and stock pack. I run the custom stock rear pack with an AAL, and front stock. Make sure when you setup and test the springs you have a full trail load in the heep. By the time you add a couple hundred pounds of gear things can really change.

How tall is he at the windshield frame:eek:

When I did the SOA with 44044s and still had my 2" BL on I was freaking tooooooooo tall for 38s.

Ok... So 4.5 compared to a 5.5 from a SOA?? i am going to think about this. I am happy with the RE lift, but i just can't seem to leave well enough alone.:D

Well, just to give a different perspective I run 35s with BDS 3 1/2in springs, 1/2 in shackle lift and 2 inch bodylift. It rides and handles great and I have no complaints. I thought about SOA and may do it someday, but for now I'm happy. Lockers front and rear complete the set.
Oh, and welcome nametwinnewbie :D :flipoff2: :D
