I just got done mounting my pump and ram and now I need to have some hoses made up. The stock inside diameter of the hose that came with the gm pump was 3/8". My question is should I keep that same diameter hose or should I go with 1/2" hose? In case it matters its a gm saginaw pump and a 2x8 ram.

I dont think you have a choice. The fittings that go to the orbital and pump will pretty much only take one size hose. I went with the most expinsive hose with the highest psi I could. When your driving down the road you will feel more comfertable with the best hoses on your rig.

I used 3000psi hose, which is plenty. I got a an adapter which goes on the output of the pump and coverts the funky o-ring I had to a standard 06AN hose. Then I ran that to my orbital.
