Selling my toy as I have had some financial obligations come up. This 1948 Willys has been trasformed into a fun hunting, camping, wheeling vehicle. I have spent the past few years (calculated around 200 labor hours) and around $8000 in parts to create this Jeep. I'm only asking $6500 as I need it gone quick. The parts include:
Strong running Buick 3.8 V6 Conversion with long tube headers and new Holley Carb
T90 3 speed Tranny with Twinstick D18 Transfercase
Dana 44 Full Width 6 lug axles with Disc brakes in the front, big drums in the back, and Blue Torch Fab differential covers
Crossover Steering System with billet steel steering arm
Custom Spring over 8" lift with upgraded leaf springs, hangers, urethane bushings, U-bolt flip kits, and 14" travel shocks
Stainless Steel Braided Brake lines front and back
35x12.50x15 M/T radials on 15x8 black rock crawler wheels
Custom front frame clip constructed from .188 wall 2x3 steel, with GM powersteering
Frame reinforced & plated to prevent bending/cracking
Custom front and rear bumpers made from .250 wall 2x4 steel
Wheelbase stretched from 80" to 100"
Roll on bed liner throughout tub
Brand New Battery & battery box mounted in the back
Custom Roll Bar with plated tub
Converted front end to "MB" Military style grille with custom PIAA headlights
LED Tail Lights
Fresh Olive Drab paint job with custom dove tail in rear
Just tuned up with plugs, wires, cap & rotor, fuel filter, etc.
This Willy's Jeep is very fun to drive, and gets more looks than anything I have ever owned. All work was professionally done, and it shows.
Call me at 949-241-2721 if you have any other questions. Jeep is located in Roseville, CA.
I have quite a few pics, just can't figure out how to post them up.
