: Nor Cal trails
geatwoodgie 02-20-2007, 12:12 PM Im in Santa Rosa and im looking for places to go. Just got out of the military, spent my last year in Cheyenne Wyoming and went wheelin in Colorado a lot. Out there they have books on trails and ratings and stuff, but I can't find anything out here. If anyone knows anybody that wants to go have some fun or if you know of trails I can hit up by myself. Hit me up and let me know. geatwoodgie@gmail.com

theres a nice camp there and the roads fairly tame, no real trails tho... if ya wait for it to snow it can get interesting.

it would be a drive, but just out of Sacramento here.. there's the infamous Rubicon or you could find a local club\group and let them show you where they go. There's Auburn, Forresthill and surrounding area's.
Good luck, have fun and keep safe..
ps. What color is the Jeep..? post a picture or two..

Nice flex for what what you've done to it. Was the front sway bar still connected..? I know how to make a cheap quick disconnect.. 2 pins, some thick flat washers and a couple of spring clips.
Bruce..

WD_K2500 02-22-2007, 11:19 AM There Is A Cool Little Place Off Of Knoxville Berryessa Road, Just North Of The Lake, Open Yr Round And Never Close It Down, We Go There Often It's A 2 Hr Drive From Sonoma... COW MTN IS ALWAYS A GOOD PLACE TO GO ALSO, BUT THE CLOSE DOWN FOR RAIN...
Glenn 02-22-2007, 11:29 AM Here's a good place but you do have to pay for the info. Kinda sucks they charge for it but that seems to be the norm for CA.

or just buy this book. It has some great info and you can take it along with you. There's one for Northern CA and one for Southern CA...

Ultim8gamr 02-22-2007, 04:55 PM depending how north you are, 4x4 Trail Hunters (http://www.4x4trailhunters.com) has a lot of trails up near Tahema County. I'm in Napa and the only place i know of nearby is Knoxville up by Berryessa, I don't know how accessible it is with trucks/jeeps but we took some ATVs out last February in the rain and had some fun, i'm pretty sure there's some full size trails there. I've heard of Prairie city, but haven't the time to go yet.

Lmao not sure about rockinfive but Dixon has changed a LOT in the 10 years I've been here. It's no longer a one stoplight town :( They are starting to run out of room for new subdivisions. The Ag land between Georges Orange/Los Altos and Pitt School Rd is going to get em sooner or later. After that it's going to have to be land to the SE. They already boxed in the cemetary.
leeroy 02-23-2007, 02:47 PM Jeep Freek, are you still going out to prairie city on sat? I have a new titan
4x4 I wanted to take out there.....

In my day there was one supermarket. Jumbo I think. The little market down the street (Party Market?) from DHS that everyone shoplifted from at lunch (once walked out with a lb. of chedder, a lb. of ham, and a loaf of french bread in my pants, and a 6-pack of Pepsi in hand :cool2: ) and 7-11 across town.
We used to party out at the old cemetary alot. Not the one by town. was an initiation place for new kids. Take em out there, get em a little drunk, and then scare the piss outta them.
We lived in Vacaville at first (on Kilkenny Rd.), bussed to school in Dixon, then eventually moved into town. . We lived on the corner of Almond and W.H directly across from Park St. Like 4 houses down from W. H St.
Can't believe its almost been 20 years since I lived there
