This is a 6 shot, not 5, .357 Taurus.
I have two different IWB non tuckable holsters for it, as well as a belly band and an ankle rig.
Ankle rig is great for dress slacks, but jeans are to stiff to try and pul up and draw. The BB is perfect when I am biking or jogging and it can be used as an under the dress shirt IWB in a pinch but its uncomfortable wearing for more then an hour or so. If I am wearing a coat I can get away with the IWBs, but they don't hold the weapon securely enough. Both of the IWBs are no name POS.
I am a fan of galco leather, but no local places have their IWB tuckables to test.
All similar Tauruses I find are 5 shot, there isn't a model number any where on this thing.
Anyone have an idea as to the model number?

I thought all the 605's were 5 round revolvers?
I know the 605CHSS is.

Open the cylinder, under the crane on the frame should be the model number.

How comfortable are IWB holsters?....are they decent for wearing all day?

I have a Galco IWB Royal Guard, non tuckable for my 1911's.

I am going to get either a USA tuckable or their SkyOps tuckable for my commander.

I am not sure what to do about a proper IWB tuckable for snubby. I have been looking at the t-shirts that have a povcket sewn in under the arm pit. I think this will end up being the best solution for me when wearing shirt and tie but no jacket. With the tie on I can leave a button undone and this is more then enough room for my hand and snubby.
Wear a t-shirt between the gun and the holster and then another light shirt or a jacket over that.
My extended safety is grooved and kinda sharp if I don't do that.
The most concealable location is on the front of the hip. Basically right between the first and second belt loop on a pair of levis. But this is a very uncomfortable position when sitting.
Moving it so it's right on the hip, with the second belt loop inbetween the two leather retaining straps (see link) it's very comfortable. but I feel it sticks out a bit more.
Slide it a bit more to the back and it disappears again, unless you bend over. It's more comfortable then infront of the hip when sitting. I do have a more difficult time lifting the shirt and drawing from behind the hip. Really hard to draw when seated with it behind the hip. But if I am just using a jacket to cover the gun then this is the position I use the most. I don't need to use my weak hand to clear the jacket, like I do with a shirt. The can't of the Royal Guard works well in this or the side hip position. The photo on their web shows the pistol in this postion. I also have a Kydex pancake for the 1911's that I where in this position.
The 357 is fatter due to the cylinder but much smaller/shorter overall. At the infront of the hip position the grip still pokes my rib cage when seated. But since it is smaller I am able to have it further to the side and can rotate the grip a little when seated.
