: Oil Cooler and Transmission Cooler Questions

I am in the process of replacing my radiator and little tranny cooler with a new radiator, new tranny cooler, and an oil cooler. I ended up going with B&M stacked plate coolers, mostly because they would fit the best and seemed to still allow good airflow.

I still need to get the sandwich adapter for the oil cooler, and make the lines to run from the adapter to the oil cooler and from my transmission to the cooler.

My original plan was to make hardlines from that run from the tranny, under the engine mount until it is past the exhaust manifold, and then use a rubber from there-- and do the same kind of thing with the oil cooler lines. I figured the hardlines would be the the least likely to be damaged by heat and such.

So I have a few questions--

Is that a good plan?

What size lines would I run? What is a good source for the lines and fittings?

What type of fittings do I need to connect to a turbo 350 tranny?

Does it matter what kind of sandwich adapter for the oil cooler I get? I have noticed that some claim to regulate the amount of oil that goes through depending on the temp of the oil-- others do not. I thought about putting in manual valve to turn it off in the winter, but I am not sure if this is really necessary (I am in arizona) and I don't know of a source.

What is the best way to put in a tranny temp sensor sender? I wanted to attach it to the line, but I have not yet found an adapter for that purpose.

Any other suggestions?

BTW, this is for a 72 Landcruiser wagon with a GM 350 crate engine and a turbo 350 tranny.

Thanks
