I ordered some DBA rotors and pads from MAN-A- Fauk and asked that they be shipped for next day air and only if all items were in stock. That was confirmed. Next day everything arrives except the rear rotors. Called back that day and asked why and was told they were not on the shelf. I asked to get the next day shipping removed and was told someone would call back. Well - I called back on Friday and left a message for the owner. Get a call on Monday and I'm told they called and talked to me an hour later and the item was on back oreder -- they have it on record!!!!! The funny thing is my sister-in-law needed to be rushed to a doctor and no one was here - I think I should know that as I work alone out of my house!!!! The owner didn't call -- some sales prick who swears he heard them talk to me and would never send out an incomplete order without contacting me. I have to laugh -- if I provided this kind of fawked up, piss ass service to any of my clientele, I would be out of business. Best I can do is to say fawk Man-A-Fre - I will find the parts elsewhere!!!!
''The customer is always wrong'' - should be Man-A-Fre's tag line

I was in there a couple of months ago and they have changed sales people. The guys they had before at least drove Landcruisers these new guys suck more than I could ever describe to you.

Haven't bought anything from MAF in about 8 years.
Back when they also had a store in ID?
LOTS of this type of story out there.
A few stories = S*&% happens to any business.
MAF screws up WAY TOO OFTEN.
Selling back ordered stuff seem to be everyday with them.

PS I have a way worse story:flipoff2:

It took 4 months to get the core charger credited back to my card from my flywheel. Excuse was that they had processed the flywheel they just hadn't had time to do the paperwork.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having problems with them.
First of all there customer service is terrible. I admit I am new to cruisers, but when you call to ask questions about ordering, you should't be treated like a kid. I had a question about the heat riser kit they sold. I asked how cold a climate you needed to live in to warrant getting the kit, since the guy said it wasn't necessary anyway. The guy responded by saying a cold one and laughed at me.
Anyway, because I wanted the kit soon I ordered it. That has been close to a month ago. I called last week and asked why it was over a week later than they said I would have it and was told that it was shipped that day. I call back today and found out that they are on back order and it was never shipped, and best case I will have it in 2 weeks. After this I hope to never wasted any more of my money there.

What else is new! MAN IT Ain't FREE has never come through for me and after three trips out there and all that wasted time and gas never again. They don't have anything I need bad enough to deal with them.

I have recently had the same problem. I told them i did not want to order the part unless it was in stock. They said there were 3 of them in stock!!! 2 weeks later and nothing shows up. I called up and they said "there must have been a mixup, the last one was shipped out 2 days ago" and they have me on backorder.
I told them not to bother.......... I had good service 4 years ago but the last 3 years have been a downhill slide!!!

How do these places stay in business? Customer service is what counts if the price difference is 10-15%. They had the best price, but their customer service put them in the "NEVER USE AGAIN" bin. I quess if they fawk over everyone once, they can stay alive for a few more years til they are resold. At the very least, the POR board can make people more aware of both good and poor vendors. Keep the stories coming -- maybe someone from Man-a fre will wake up!!!!

You might want to take a close look at those rotors. A buddy of mine ordered a set from them, but when they arrived they were NOT DBA's, they were some cheap Chinese knock-offs!:mad3:
