We have been hard at work on Ftoy #029, getting it ready for the 2007 competition season. The new DOA motor is really working well. We built up a new dual case assembly, this time with 23 spline gears and a Bobby Long Cromo output shaft. We installed a new set of 37" BFG Krawlers on Creeper-Locks wheels. New paint and graphics give it a nice touch.

We pickup up a new trailer to better hold all the spare parts and tools we will be bringing this year. It is a 24' long Pace Race trailer...

The old motor has been moved to second string and will serve as a backup....

Last year we brought a set of axle shafts with us in the back of the truck. This year we are bringing complete front and rear assembled axles ready to bolt in. The axles, spare tcase and drive shafts all bolt up to this rack....

All of the other competitors are going to envy you. Then hate you. And eventually stone you and pillage your trailer for parts.

That is kickass. If I ever compete, I want spare axle assemblies.

Why not just stick a completely assembled backup F-toy in there, while you're at it? :flipoff2:

That is one sweet setup:smokin: . I just picked up a 20' Pace enclosed. It'l be nice to have my stuff dry and out of site. I thought about carrying complete axle assy's but I think I can fix anything on my rig quicker by swapping internals rather than complete assy's. You know the saying though if you don't want to break something then carry a spare with you.:D

I would use the new Krawlers as spares. I guarentee that the old ones will bite better. A set of half worn out krawlers are the $hit.
