Lance 02-22-2007, 07:55 PM Think these things can't be bad ass? Think again...

BenMara 02-22-2007, 08:18 PM whos SCer kit did they use?
Richard 02-22-2007, 08:19 PM I wonder if a V8 out of a Tundra will fit:grinpimp:
RAINER 02-22-2007, 08:32 PM The brand new V8 with 380HP out of a tundra would be sick as hell in that thing.

88wildrunner 02-22-2007, 09:04 PM thats pretty sick but i would go with smaller tires for room for more uptravel.
Beat95YJ 02-22-2007, 09:06 PM That rig has 2 full inches of uptravel :flipoff2:
Why would you want more on a crawler?
Butler 02-22-2007, 09:32 PM I laffoed at Fred driving that thing up Sledge last weekend. He was doing so well keeping down the carnage till he pushed in the clutch in the wrong spot and clearanced the rear end.He did a fairly nice job at it, though.IIRC the used some sort of aftermarket SC, Avenger maybe?
85blue4runner 02-22-2007, 09:50 PM 4.7L with blower will fit as seens in FJ Cruiser 'pickup' coverage from SEMA.

URD,Underdog Racing Development.
Infernal Jeep 02-22-2007, 11:01 PM I just noticed my red star expired,I have a bunch of pics of the build up I'll post them up tomorrow as soon as I renew it.
It's cool, but Krawlers, D60s, coilovers and a Atlas are big :grinpimp: . In fact you can make a lot of vehicles bad ass with that stuff.

X2. But hells yah if I had that I would so beat the crap out of it. Then, reach back into my ARB cooler and pull out my favorite ice cream cone.

Hum...well my cousin ran the past Ultimate Adventure. He said it did ok but the turtle is a tank. I think it's pretty cool, it just depends what your looking for in a wheeler...it no bug crawler. I wonder how the Krawlers side walls hold up on it....that's a lot of weight. Either way it is the sickest FJ Cruzr I've seen so far.
chadburgin 02-25-2007, 12:30 PM the build is in petersons....well that was pointless info from me hahaha
jekbrown 02-25-2007, 01:28 PM paint scheme is god-awful... otherwise its a decent rig. My wife loves the new FJ. I'm pretty much indifferent about them, but I'd like to build her a SFA one with a D44 + some high clearance bumpers with brush (aka comuter car) guards and some 37s. Be a good grocery getter / camping rig.

powerline-k9 02-28-2007, 12:58 AM good plan. do it

GRMhick 04-05-2007, 12:33 AM I wonder if a V8 out of a Tundra will fit:grinpimp:
It uses a trans out of a v8 4runner
That said, lance, why are you posting SEMA pics in Feburary? You could have at least gone down to Poly P and taken pics of it in the parking lot in Feburary  :flipoff2:
Beat95YJ 04-09-2007, 11:30 PM Or gone to jv in february? It was also in Moab this week. I guess pics could have been taken there also.
Infernal Jeep 04-10-2007, 12:02 AM Here's how it arrived at the shop.

GRMhick 04-10-2007, 06:56 AM wow, your right. Guess it would have helped if I was at the offroad expo :bounce2:

Off topic, but I saw your cruiser exit Highway one into Monterey, and turn up Aguajito Rd. You are driving the Lifted Silver FJCruiser with the Trail Teams Trailer, correct? Just caught my eye, thought it was cool...where were you headed?

A Diamond front housing with an FJ or Taco/Tundra 3rd would be cooler!

That was the west team heading out to the sea otter classic in monterey.
dieselcruiserhead 05-11-2007, 10:57 PM which off road expo, in Calif. somewhere? What are the details on.. Also if its a All Pro truck how come its got a bunch of stickers from other places..? Wondering mostly, and what are the details on it, built for SEMA?
dieselcruiserhead 05-11-2007, 11:01 PM Saw this, makes sense... Pretty neat rig...

FJ-Ollie 05-12-2007, 09:10 AM Here's the report on the 2006 Ultimate Adventure FJ...

With the SFA under this thing it is pretty awsome... It recieved some body damage at the 2006 Ultimate Adventure but performed wonderfully otherwise.

The Pamona Off-Road Expo in Callifornia... It was a great show. We were able to get a real close look at this thing. SFA, URD Supercharger, Lockers Front and Rear, Onboard ExtremeAire, ARB Fridge, Roll Cage, Fab-Fours Bumper, etc. This thing is set up...
The foundation of the FJ is pretty solid already... Although the FJ might gain some more torque fro a V8, my experience has shown me there's plenty there with the V6. Out of the dealership, the FJ comes with the V6 backed with the V8 transmission used in it's 4-Runners and other models running the V8. The Prada Land Cruiser box tube frame and chassis with additional reinforcements ties it all together nice and solid. Although I would like to do an SFA install on mine some day down the road, I like that the IFS allows me to run the washes and desert at high speeds then do some moderate crawling if I choose... At the end of the day I jump on the highway and have the ability to run 100+ mph (Idon't drive that fast BTW) in perfect comfort and lsten to Mozart in the peace and quiet...:)
It is a way cool cruiser and I have a special thing for green... :)
Beat95YJ 10-19-2008, 09:37 PM Anyone know where buildup info for this thing is online? The 4wor links are dead. Specifically trying to figure out what length shocks and/or spring rates are on this beast.
sbechtold 10-20-2008, 12:39 PM The links work for me. Walker Evans 12" shocks with 100/300 coils.

Thanks a bunch, for some reason the event coverage link works for me but the vehicle buildup is 404???
http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/2006ultimateadventure/ultimatefjcruiser/index.html
FYI for those that are interested this FJ is running a 1400.250.0100/1400.250.0400 (primary rate 80lbf/in) in front and a 1400.250.0450 single rate in the rear at present.
cmcateer03 12-03-2008, 12:37 AM Anyone know any info on the front and rear bumpers?
sbechtold 12-03-2008, 07:12 AM Anyone know any info on the front and rear bumpers?
Fabfours front and rear. The rear will fall apart on you and the front is a heavy sucker.
forsakenfuture 12-03-2008, 10:50 AM I lost faith in FabFour when their own bumper on their own vehicle failed during the Ultimate Adventure.
sbechtold 12-26-2008, 06:37 PM I hate to post about it but cant help but bring more torture to myself.
That's because the front axle fell out of it on the first trip... :flipoff2:
