Summit was quick and got me my extra capacity pan on Saturday, so I tore my tranny apart, dropped the valve body, cracked it open and put in the shift reprogrammer kit. Nothing to it, really. Need to put the valve body back in the rig tonight. With my new exhaust routing, I was able to get to the shift lever and kick down lever arms and pop them off the shift lever column from below. Sure beat taking the tranny tunnel apart. Still have to see if I can get them back on as easily though. Still a tight fit in there.

Question is, when I put it together, I looked at the pcs for the drop filter, and saw a little plastic widget. Round in the middle with 4 or 5 offset ears sticking off it. Made out of hard plastic. About the same diameter as the opening in the filter. Looks like it *might* go between the metal drop bracket and the filter, but it is kind of hard for that application.. It is for the drop filter, but I am not sure where it goes. Anyone know?

Which pan did you go with? I bought a TCI drop pan, but it did not come with a "plastic widget". It only came with an extension, filter, and gasket. NO WIDGET.....I've been jipped! Anyway, do you have enough clearance between the pan and front shaft at full stuff? Mine does'nt clear so a friend of Old Scat (oops, Scout) is going to cut the offensive area out and fill it with a plate. Just when I FINALLY got drivetrain done, my new front shaft hits the pan and is too long. Oh well

You bought the high dollar unit, why not the Mopar pan for ~$40.00, the Chrome pan is only a couple of bucks more.

Haha. I bought the shiny steel one (read ~ cheap!!) and it came with a cool plastic widget that is not on my bench.....

It really looks like my front driveline will clear just fine. The pan sits off to the side of the driveline, doesn't cross under the driveline at any point, so I should be fine.
