I am having issues with the brakes on my YJ. I did an axle conversion to Scout D44's and the rear has discs. After the brakes were bled I had a soft pedal and not as much brake as I had hoped for. Tweaked the master cylinder push rod a bit and that seemed to help. But, now the right rear smetimes just locks up. Probably too much push rod tweak? Is there a good relatively inexpensive replacement for the YJ master cylinder that will provide reliable braking?

i would try a proportioning valve first before swapping out master cylinders.

but if you want to swap it out I HEARD that a grand cherokee mc works because it has 4 wheel discs.
