I live in NY state, and this is what I don't understand:

Bushmaster will NOT ship a 30-round AR-15 magazine to this state. However, local gun shops sometimes sell AK's WITH a 30-round magazine, and it's never an issue.

If the mag was present in NY prior to the ban being enacted, it's legal to transfer. New magazines cannot be imported into the state after the ban.


Have it shipped to a friend in PA and go pick it up from his house. Then keep it at ho0me and don't tell anybody you have it.
