There's better options for different vehicles. The early YJ's (pre 95.5) benefit most from the 78 Grand Marquis with hydroboost MC. It bolts right in place of the stock MC. You'll need to get fittings to essentially swap the fittings on the MC but that's simple enough and any parts store guy should be able to help you with that. (*even a manager at AutoZone should have the brain power to pull that off but don't expect the PC working counter monkey to get it the first try*) One other point is that the cover retaining bar may interfere with the booster but that's simply fixed by either shimming the MC away from the booster with washers or by bending the bar a bit to clear.

This thing worked so well on my Jeep that I can do wheelies in reverse on my driveway. It's got a slight incline and when rolling backwards, if I slam on the brakes, the front tires will lift up a bit. Plus, the MC runs $20~$50 +core depending on store and quality. It took me about 15 minutes to actually install it after I got the it bench bled.

4 door, do you remeber the part number that you used? It is the MC for four wheel disc brakes correct? Butch may have given our local parts store employees more credit than they deserved in his earlier post. Any help would be appreciated.

You should also swap out the YJ combination valve with one from a 4-wheel disc Grand Cherokee, or remove the o-ring from the YJ valve, and disable/remove the rear residual valve. Your current combination valve will severely reduce needed rear caliper pressure (proportioning valve), and may cause the rear inside pads to drag (residual valve).

I pulled the o-ring out of the combonation valve, where is the residual valve?
