Im putting a ford 302 in my jeep, replacing the stock and tired 2.5L. I have a Duraspark II engine control/ignition system for the 302 which is pretty much self contained and easily understandable...

on the stock 2.5's alternator, there is a strange connecter on it...

So i know i need to connect the red and white wired from the ford harness to the jeep harness and have to tie the alternator into it also... but i am lost when anything comes to wiring and none of my friends are good with it either... they have all recommended "jerry rigging" it... and i am not a fan of doing that at all to my jeep...

Why don't you use a GM self exciting set up. Foolproof and cheap enough.....................

if your saying that i should put a chevy in my jeep, then i say the hell with that idea... all the chevys i have owned have only caused me headaches... but if this is a wiring setup... i just might look into it...
