I have a military 1 1/4ton truck that i am going to put a 4" lift on and wanted the opinions of others. I will be using their 1 ton kit. I want it to be strong for towing and stuff but i dont know the two companies well enough to make a positive purchase, yet. All of you that have used these two, or one of the above, which is better? I was planning on the ORD kit but then looked at the DIY4x kit and it looks like it might be reinforced a little better. Does one kit install better/easier than the other? Does one kit hold up better then the other when under load?
thanks

I run the DIY4X style and like it mostly cause it uses the same style shackle as the front end now....no more wimpy different ended style factory shackle. The installation was simple and from what I noticed that goes for both style's. I don't think you'll be disappointed either way.

I have the ORD kit.
I dont have a single complaint about it.
As to which is better?
I would say they are equal.
ORD's is powder coated, DIY's is painted so I think the ORD will look better longer.
ORD uses larger Diam bolts, you have to drill out the rivit holes of the frame for the ORD kit and not the DIY kit but the DIY kit comes with those nifty brackets for the back side of the frame. Perhaps to make up for the smaller bolt used?
IMHO I would say they are both pretty equal.
I have had very good experience with ORD and do buisness with them as often as I can. Personally I would go with ORD.

I have seen both and they are quality products. I do business with Kert at DIY to support the little guy. I have never had a complaint with his products.

I have had both, I like my DIY4X one better due to the simplicity of the shackles.

Well I bought the ORD rear 4" shackle flip and now my axle sits about 2" forward. Not centered anymore. I called them and steve told me to install their zero rate ad a leaf. Workman ship is top notch just didn't like that little fact. He said well maybe you ordered for a half ton. I ordered everything leafes everything. I told him unless you just sent the wrong part I ordered everthing in 1 package hi steer everything.
So just my 2 cents.

DIY4Xs shackle flip changes teh kind of shackle, and you get to choose your shackle length for the same price...
I personally am probably gonna buy the DIY4X shackle flip 'n' switch. haha
