I havent been upside down......yet. I am wondering what is the checklist after you flop or roll over? Is there anything that you have to check for.....because it happens every time? I would think a flop is not a big deal, so there wouldnt be much to check out as far as fluids. What about a roll over? Will the oil possibly fill up the cylinders so it would make it hard to start? I would think fluids and or fuel might leak out when upside down? Check fluid levels is odvious I would think, what else aside from body damage- what would make it not start once its back on its tires?
thanks for any help!

Anytime you flop or roll its a good idea to at least pull the wire off the coil and bump it to see if theres any oil in the cylinders. If there's too much to compress the engine wont turn over right (don't sit there and crank on it, just bump it with the starter). Thats when you need to pull the plugs and crank it. Otherwise just burn whatever oil is in the cylinder out. I know my 2.5 never fills the cylinders when on the passenger side, and rarely ever on the drivers side. Upside down, I've seen the 2.5 pull plugs. Most V-8s I've been with that have flopped and laid there for a few minutes we've always had to pull the plugs. The 4.0s almost always fill up with oil.

Right on man. Thanks for the info. I have the 4.0L and I believe its a coil on plug ignition. Please correct me if im wrong, but I dont think I have a distributor cap and coil wire. I guess I would pull the spark plug wires and then try to crank?

When in doubt, I'd pull the plugs. 10 minutes to pull the plugs and check, v/s time an $$$ bending a rod and having to rebuild an engine.
