Heres the question, I have a set of 75 chevy frt disc brakes on my rear 14bolt, for the disc brake conversion, I need to hook up a emegency brake on the rear axle. What im looking for is a rear caliper that would bolt on to my setup I have wit the e-brake setup on it. I havent done any research on this topic as of yet just thought I would start here and see what I could come up with. Any help would be great.

Pretty much no. If you want a bolt on affair, that is basically your only option. You could look into a t-case mounted e-brake.

The t-case brake sounds interesting. In the little research I have done, I have come across a line-lock type parking brake, are these any good for anything or are they pretty much junk? I guess Im just looking for the pros and cons of this type of setup?

You are going to want to look for calipers for a 76-78 El Dorado...pretty sure those are the only ones that will work....you are going to be looking at $75+ per side for re-manufactured ones, too. I've heard the cheaper $75 don't come with much hardware...like the spring and cable connection tab.

I plan on going this route for my 14B before summer. I also plan on looking into line lock as an alternative.

I was talking to Ben from OTT about this subject last week and he suggested using late 70's deville calipers, instead of the eldorado ones. the Deville was a full size instead of midsized like the eldorado, so better stopping power and the ebrake holds better. Also I've heard of guys having problems fitting the eldo calipers on the 3/4 ton rotors because of the width, apperently the deville's are the correct width. I havent checked any of this out myself but that guy knows his stuff so I'd bet he's right. Has anyone else tried these?

I used 77 Eldorado calipers on mine with the Great Lakes brackets and 77 Chev 3/4 ton rotors, fits up great, still be awhile before I can put them to use though.
