Yeah, post some pictures of you poor bastards stuck behind a broken rock-rail in the rain :flipoff2:

I heard it was a blast...maybe next year...

Hey Big Dog, I mean Nolan,
You didn't miss anything. I drove everything that was supposed to present a challenge. Lower 2 (3 times), Slickrock (2 times) and Guardrail/Helicopter, Peckerwood, Upper 2 (2 times) and Schoolbus both directions. Didn't pull cable on any of these. Had a blast though, no damage, no breakage. Lower 2 had the big ledge/rock blown out by the Forest Service, so it was much less challenging this year.

Not trying to be a smartass but, I pull more cable in 1 day at Badlands (Attica) than the 4 full days of wheeling at Tellico. Must have been the 38's", or the TBI, maybe the Longfields. (But since I know what it is, I'll publicly thank my buds (Troy, Robbie, Roy and Ken) for educating me in the true form of extreme wheeling! Seat time cures all!

If anyone here got pics of me, post em, or send em to me (PLEASE). I haven't trained my riding buddy in the art of photo documentation yet!

The people and wide variety of Cruisers is what makes this event. The STLCA puts on a great show, and has some awesome raffle stuff. Henry Brimmer wheeled early with a group from Hot Spings and they trailered his FJ45 for him. Ok, it wasn't their fault he wanted to do Lower 2! Birfs, tcase, and an alternator is what I heard, did see him later spectating at Lower 2, and hopefully having fun.

Anybody here doing the Ultimate Tour Pirate Style?

Mike, Attica is OURS!! Looking forward to that one, big time! I've got a handful of guys coming down, including one Crusier with a 345 Intl, granny gear, full coil suspension, and 38" tires....

Now, my trip to Tellico for the United Convention in 2000 was tough...pouring rain, EVERYONE in our group cabled Guardrail and Lower 2. Awesome place tho.

Now, to survive the 875 mile drive to Paragon this Memorial weekend  ....

Hey Woody,
Have a great time this weekend! I am very interested in your report on these trails and the overall experience. I almost have Troy talked into going over there later this summer. It would be a weekday run since he has to be around on the weekends.

And the Attica stop will rule on the Ultimate Tour. I am looking forward to meeting some of the Cruiser bbs members on the trail!

I love to go to GSMTR to see the rigs and BS with the people, but I would be just as happy if I rode shotgun of flew to Knoxville and drove in.

19 hours of driving for that place is not for me!

I am SOOO glad you had a good time and you really have been throwing your all at those Longfields!

One guy in our club just gave me a report that said the rocks on Lower 2 were worse this year!

HA! Can't wait to tell him you walked it 3 times!

Take care and let's do Black Hills in 2003!

Hey Mike,

Just now realized who you are - you stopped by our campsite (just short of the gravel road to trail 2) to talk with Jim Harongody a few times and showed off the fuel injection and spare longfields. I'll be on the lookout for the final fi product. Jim ended up breaking 3 inner axles and 2 birfields on the long side. 2 inners were fragged from the busted birf. but one sheared off as clean as if it were machined. He'll definitely be ponying up for a pair of longfields.

As to easy trails: schoolbus was pretty easy (Jim's first birf. breakage); I had to use the winch to get a little bump on helicopter (my first time so safety was an issue - collected someone elses paint off rainbow rock); and winched what's left of the old obstacle on lower 2 due to rain/dark. Jim ended up changing another birf. in the rain/dark on lower 2, but everybody had fun (he had just installed one of my spares a few hours earlier - fragged the whole thing).

I walked thru upper 2 on Thursday, but got impatient on Sat. morning and broke my rear pinion hopping too much. I was supposed to be more careful until I got a traction bar, but it was friggin cold and my last day to wheel anyways. Had to trailer my 40 back to camp.

Oh well, I scored big at the raffle (as did several other FLCA members).

One of the highlights of the trip was a party in Tellico Plains hosted by David and Lynn Harrison of Upstate Cruisers. Thank god we had a few designated drivers to get us back to camp thru the checkpoints.

All in all a damm good trip.

Hey Bill,

How did the Boggers work out for you. I didn't know you were going to be there. I was there too.

Hey Charles, you did'nt perchance sit in front of the FLCA tent at the raffle? I think you talked with Jerry D. from Florida, but I was too lazy to get up and socialize at the moment.

The Boggers worked great. Hopefully I'll get to meet up with you next year.

Hey Bill,

Yes, that was me and my fiancee Vickie. Let me guess.... You were the guy that jumped up when you won the tires and rims?

I'm sure I'll run into you again at GSMTR. Hopefully, I'll have some D60 axles and some larger tires by then..
