Yeah im not very happy right now.

On the 16th of this month I ordered an ARB, a Detroit, a set of 35 spline Warn hubs, and a 14 bolt rebuild kit from PORC for the tune of about 1500 bux.

On monday the 19th I called and they said the order was "processing" and would be shipped "soon."

On Tuesday the 20th I called again and was very nice, and was told the parts had all shipped. The ARB had been sent from the manufacturer in Washington. But everything had shipped. I was told Friday, Saturday at the latest and I would have all my stuff. I explained my gratitude for this as I am on a very tight schedule to make jeep safari.

Friday and Saturday the 23rd and 24th came and went, no parts.

Monday the 26th I worked 16 hours and could not call.

Today I had a chance to call. I was informed that none of my parts had been shipped. The detroit and hubs were sitting at their store. The guy I talked to said the bearings in the 14 bolt install kit were wrong and they were waiting for new kits before they shipped the hubs and detroit. As for the ARB it had not been shipped from Washington either. I waited on hold while the guy on the phone called them. He returned to tell me their was a 10 day waiting period for the ARB.

I told them I wanted the hubs and the detroit shipped. And my money back for the ARB and install kit. Other vendors have them in stock and I dont have 10 days. He told me that was fine (he actually suggested the refund) and he would refund all the monies right when I got off the phone with him. I told him I would call back later in the afternoon and confirm the refund, he said no problem.

I called back about 5 hours later, no refund had been issued. The owner, who was supposedly their when I called the first time, had left. So now no parts, no money.

I just think this is all complete bullshit. Everything these guys have promised has not happened. I have been waiting for things that have never even been shipped when I was told they had been (even my online status on their site shows the parts shipped). They ran my card for the full amount of money even thought they did not even have parts to ship me. And when they suggest a refund so I can get things moving in another direction, they don't get it issued when they told me they would. I read this board everyday and want to support the vendors on it and these guys seemed like a good choice.

Anyone else have any issues? Should I be worried about getting my 900 bux back?

I had the same problem 2 years ago with two gearsets, a 35 spline 60 ARB, compressor and install kits. They said it would be shipped on a specific date (can't remember exact dates, my brain is too fried lol). Only the rear gears and the front install kit showed, 4 days after that date.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called a week and a half later. They appologized and said the ARB was on backorder, and that they had shipped it 2 days prior. He also knocked 10% off the compressor which I thought was nice of him. The ARB, front geasrs, compressor and rear install kit show up the following week. The tracking # said the package shipped the day after I called them :shaking:

My guess was they just simply forgot to ship it (shit happens) so I didn't get mad because I still got the stuff without too much waiting for a lot cheaper than anywhere else.

I would call and speak to Kevin, he seems like a good guy who tries but just gets overwhelmed at times. I'm sure it's just an unfortunate mix-up

I ordered a set of gears from them, and had no problems, they were here in like 3 days. Some of your parts are probably drop shipped from other venders, so they're at the mercy of their customer service. The refund hassle sounds a little shitty though.

I just bought a bunch of stuff through them. I've been dealing with Alex and Jason. Good guys and they're running about 95% on doing what they say they will. Most of my order was delivered in a very timely manner. We're struggling with the last part which is BTF stuff. I originally placed the order the week after the APeters buildup and have been calling a couple times a week since. Jason or Alex would call BTF and BTF would say the parts are going out next week or later this week etc. Even got told tomorrow once. Now on today's call BTF has apparently claimed they never received the PO and that they have the parts in stock and will ship them out as soon as they recieve the PO :shaking:

This isn't my first order with PORC and it won't be my last. If I hadn't seen so much good press on BTF I probably wouldn't deal with them again.

I ordered a pair of Corbeau seats from them this past fall. Placed my order mid-afternoon on a Saturday and I had them Tuesday by lunch. I have found that it's best to order parts before you need them to account for the little mishaps that you really can't predict.

I have ordered thousands of dollars of parts from them. Granted I am in their backyard, but most of the time it is shipped. It is hard to find a better price and I have never ran into any problems. Deal with Alex, he is the owner.

I wouldn't worry about getting your money back. I had a few really rush orders get screwed up after a few really great transactions. I've moved on with no ill feelings, they always ended up getting things straightened out for me. Bummer the order got massacred, but there's plenty of other vendors here we can order from.

I orded a set of ARB's for a nissan. Took about 2 weeks longer than they said, didnt surprise me becasue one locker had to come from overseas. Came about a month faster than another vender who supposedl had the gears in stock

I've probably spent 5K with them over the years. They are a great crew. Overwhelmed at times, but really try hard to get the job done. Last time I was in the store it was the owner, a tech and a sales guy. I don't think i'd be worried about your refund. Sometimes the CC proscessing companies sit on it for a few days before releasing the funds.

I ordered almost the exact same items from them on the Wednesday the 13th. Got my first box from them friday the 16th. My ARB showed up on the 20th, and my gears and install kit showed up on th 23rd. I was real happy with the service, pricing and shipping I got. Looks like luck just isn't on your side. They seem to be a great vendor and I'd expect them to take care of you on it.

I ordered my high steer arms from 4wheelonline on the 12th, and still haven't even seen a tracking number or a response to my emails. They won't be getting my business again, but PORC will see a lot more of my money in the future.

Ive ordered a Warn 9.5ti, 5.38 gears for D60's, shocks, and miscelaneous other things over the last 3 years. Never any problems and they were always fast and great to deal with.
Sorry to hear you had such a rough order. Im sure they will get things straight for you.

I ordered a set of gears and install for the front. No problems. Everything in a few days. Install kit was a motive gear set...they say its same as Yukon...but it was short some shims. Installer made it work.

Next ordered gears and a detroit. They sent me the wrong detroit. Took some monkeying around to get it back to them and the right one to me. My gears were fine...but the install kit was jacked...not enough shims. They sent me more shims within a few days....but it was a hassle to have to wait.

They said some of the dana 60 install kits were packaged bad. I was not in a big hurry...had I been this could have been bad. All is installed and well now. So far.

I'd buy from them again even with the hassle and confusion.

I have had great luck with them as well.

One thing to remeber is that a credit card refund does not go through nearly as fast as a debit. Its not always the vendors fault, the credit company is slow to process the refund.

I ordered a couple thousand dollars worth of parts from them in the past. Their parts showed up fast, the only parts that were somewhat slow were actually coming from Randy's up in Washington I believe. I had a couple of issues with some of the parts that they took care of super fast, no questions asked. Only thing I never took care of was a poorly machined Yukon chromo short side shaft that wouldn't fit in the ARB. Purely my fault as I never sent it back for the inspection and replacement. As said above though, talk with Alex, he was really easy to work with.

Hmm I ordered an HS9500i from there last year and got the winch within 5 business days. Also, they beat everyones prices on winch deals when I bought mine. I plan on going back to get a M8000 but this makes me think otherwise

I hope you get your shit or a refund.

Ordered gears last year, was told they would ship the next day. A week later I called and was told they were on back order and would be in in 10 days. Waited some more called back and was told they were on back order for 2 months. Took like 4 days of me calling every day to get the refund. They charged my card the day the order was placed. I will order from them again for a second chance but they should set up some customer service policies.

I buy a lot of stuff from them and pick it up in person. I always get better prices from them than anyone else. I personally have never had a problem from them but understand that no one is perfect. The only thing that I can add is that everytime I have went in there they are VERY busy and trying their best to get everything accomplished. I know they usually come in way early and leave way late. I have seen Alex running around with tape guns before trying to get everything shipped on time. They are a bunch of good guys there but sometimes just get behind I guess. As much stuff as I have seen going out of that place I can understand some mistakes.

Kidkrawler, I know its been said before but talk to Alex......again. I always bought from Alex even when he worked for someone else and have never had a problem with him. He is very understanding and I personally don't understand why he hasn't resolved this.

And the BTF stuff ain't Alex's fault. BTF seems to get backed way up and can't keep up with demand. I tried getting a few parts from them through BTF directly and Alex and it didn't sound promising. I have been waiting on a TJ fuel cell and tube fenders for months now.

When people say that a company sucks or is great - it would be usefull if you guys could list the last time you purchased from them.

If most say "I've never had a problem with them" last purchased 1 year ago... and most saying they sucked purchased in the last 6 months. That's saying something.

Ive ordered from them 3 times and had some sort of issue each time... my best friend has ordered from them several times and never had a single issue...until he bought parts for me ...LOL

1st time I ordered a tire and it was "2days out from thier warehouse " .... 3 weeks later I told them to just cancel it.

2nd time I ordered parts got most of them and got the same "2days from warehouse" deal.... then talked to Alex and he told me straight up they were back ordered from the supplier 14B spool by the way, and I waited a week and checked back ..then another... then just cancelled that one.

3rd time was some bumpstops I was unhappy with this order cause I paid a premium for them and they came to me and are OLD AS SHIT Surplus and look like they had been laying in someones tool box for 10 years . I bought them and asked if they would "ship today" ( 1day ground from Bham ) and paid the premium to have them before the weekend so I could ride. Guess what........ they didnt ship until the Friday of that week and I didnt get them.

Now on to my buddy... he's had great service and luck everytime. He just recently bought some 35spline outters and warns for me for labor I had done and they shipped them incorrectly to Oregon or something... then they sat there for a few days awaiting a call tag, then got slow boated back to Alabama. I did recieve them finally... 2.5 weeks late.

I think the biggest problem is blanket answers and the shipping dept sucks. Alex has always been straight with me when I asked direct questions though. I give them the industry standard that seems to be a 50/50 with most companies :flipoff2: Pricing wise they are great .

I don't know if you guys have figured this out, but PORC drop ships nearly everything. When they say something is in stock they mean the manufacturer has it in stock. When something isn't shipped out when they say, it's because the supplier screwed up. They would never be able to keep prices so low if they just had all this inventory sitting around.

In this era of drop shipping I can't imagine getting parts quicker than 10 days. I usually try and order parts 3 weeks before I need them for instock stuff. Backordered stuff may never come *lol*

i've been doing business with them lately and have spent in excess of $1500. I couldn't be ANY happier with this company!
All I gotta say is WOW, they have by far the best customer service and turn around on parts that I have ever seen in a company.

How do you run a business but not be able to give your customers info on their orders? He's had my money since the 28th of Febuary, but for some reason as of today the 15th of March I still do not have any parts. Talked to Alex on Saturday and was told that the SYE kits came in on Friday and would be shipping out on Monday, per the conversation with Alex he stated I would have mine by Tuesday being's as I live in Georgia. Well, I'm going to have to change my opinion about them too. I emailed them over two weeks ago a question about some parts I bought a while back. Jess, I'm sure you haven't considering the quality product and fantastic customer service you provide.

I have never ordered from PORC, but I think this should serve as a lesson for all vendors. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS IMPORTANT! Even if you have fantastic prices, nobody is gonna deal with you if, every time they place an order, it turns into a great big friggin' hassle. I'm sure this place IS busy, but that really isn't an excuse for CONTINUED poor service. If you can't handle the business you are getting, you need to remedy the situation. If that means hiring more people, so be it. Even if you have to raise prices a little to compensate. Although if you are getting that much business, one could argue that the cost of added employees should be offset by the increase in business. If this place drop ships everything, they really should be totally up front and honest about the situation so their customers know ahead of time exactly what they are dealing with, and the high potential for delays and screw-ups with that kind of business model. I also think many businesses underestimate the importance of honesty when dealing with stocking and shipping problems. This "yeah, it'll ship today" and then you don't see it for another 2 weeks is crap. Just be upfront about what the deal really is.

Anyway, I'm not bashing PORC since I've never done business with them, and for all I know, this could be more the exception than the rule, but it seems like it's awful hard to get decent customer service anymore. For example, this is why I will go back to HAD for all my DS stuff. Jess is pleasant to talk with on the phone, in my limited experience he has been accurate with shipping dates, the stuff is VERY well packaged, the product is top quality, and I have no doubt that if I had a problem, he would take care of it without a great big bunch of BS. I'm not trying to start another "praise HAD" thread, but I'm just saying, this is how business ought to be done.

Now on another note. I just ordered a Warn M8000 from them last week, talked to Alex thru PM's here, sent Money Order, he PM'ed me on here and told me Money Order was recieved and Winch was shipping Thursday 3/22 and Monday3/26 FedEx was at the door.
