shift error 1-2

basically it does not shift out of first until 2500-3000 RPM. then it shifts fine, if i go real slow it will shift, or if i let off the gas it will.
and the overdrive light flashes(same as SES light but for tranny i am told)

this is what is reading on the ford code reader. anyone tell me what it is, told it could be a number of things, but maybe silinoid pack?

the mech said it could be something otherthan the silinoid pack, but i am thinking of trying that, the tranny isnt going bad, anyone had that happen, wanting some opinions and no one on the diesel stop knows anything about it. thanks

try www.thedieselgarage.com seems most of the ford guy's that have a clue migrated to that site about a year ago. i'll throw my vote for solenoid though...

TDS is kinda like pirate... lots of e-cock swingin going around... good info there... just have to wade through the drama... aka TheDramaStop :flipoff2:

If I recall correctly 01's had a mechanical solenoid/diode deal and it was a known problem... Maybe try calling a trans shop that specializes in ford diesels ;) "Keith" here on pirate owns susanville transmission and I know he is very familiar with the 4r100... I lost his shop number... but you could try sending him a PM ;)

I realize yours is an 01 and a Ford... and mine is an 05 and a Dodge.... But I'd have to ass-ume yours is an electronically controlled tranny like mine?? Anyway, mine did the same thing... Threw a check engine code. Took it to dealer, and was basically a speed sensor that went out. 20 minute fix.
