OK WHAT THE FAWK DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET THIS FREAKIN CARRIERE OUT? PLEASE HELP!!! The ring gear is hitting the housing for the bearing that supports the very end of the pinioin.....:mad:

I had the same problem. You have to loosen the side gear shims. (The things with the holes in them.) They are threaded. Try to only loosen one side if you plan on returning to the same backlash.

You probably want to mark them and count the turns.

I think you have to screw them both all the way out to remove teh carrier, don't you?

Thats what I did. Mark the top center, unscrew counting turns as you go then you just lift the carrier out. Really simple process.
