motor/trans swap

have 2000 tacoma 4x4 that had 3rz 4cyl 5spd man trans that was stolen and they took motor and tranny.

trying to rebuild cheap.

have 2002 2rz 4 cyl

have chance to buy 1997 w59 transmission and transfer case.

? will the motor and tranny bolt up together and work in truck ?

w59 bell housing bolts up to both 3rz and 2rz. 2rz will also swap right in. might need a different mt computer for the 2rz if you didn't get one with the 2rz. i know they have different part numbers, but sometime that doesn't mean it won't work, ie some of the 22re puters are interchangeable. check it out.
