Anyone removed the chrome along side the three sides of the windows? How hard/easy is it and anyone have pics of how it looks without it? Any disadvantages to removing it? I'm looking into getting mine repainted and might remove to help prevent future rust. Thanks.

I pulled all the chrome trim except for those pieces. I was afraid that they might be a pressure fit piece that holds the window in. Let me know if your windows fall out.

Are you talking about the rear and back windows? I've been told you can remove the trim around them no problem. I was talking about the driver's, passenger's, and rear seat windows.

The windshield rubber can actually be ordered without the chrome strip, just a black molding without the cutout for the strip. The chrome strips along the bottom of the window are functional. You could dechrome them by using etching primer and then painting. They are a PITA to remove without breaking.

What about the chrome on the left, right, and top of the window?
