After spending all day grinding off the old mounts and cleaning it all up I just have to gusset the top Y links. They are 1/4 tube sleeved with 1/4 tube but I think I'll add a top rib to it just for the hell of it. Sorry I can't post pics but here is a link, let me know what you think.

Thanks, the front is just soa on a wagoneer 44 front end using 6 leaf packs that should probably have a leaf or two taken out of them. The rear is coiled 2 link with panhard on a wagoneer 44 rear end. Coils are off a 90 cherokee. Nothing special but the kid seems to like it thus far. I think he is planning on swapping in an sm420 and dana 20 t-case since his toy case rolled over and died and the tranny is the 3 speed.

I like it and the cool part is it looks simple. The problem I have is the front shackle angle. Is the picture at a funny angle or is it angled forward?

Qustion on the links in the rear,
The axle end looks like a traction bar the way it is welded to the tubes.
How did you do the tops so the axle will pivot?
It damn sure works, just interested in how.

Must be the angle of the photo cause the shackle is laid back about 12 degrees and I anticipate more cause those springs should flatten out completely after a bit of trail use. You are right the rear links are a sort of traction bar. One of the y links is completely welded together. I did it cause it was simple and I knew nothing would break. The other Y link on the driver's side is not welded. The small part of the y is removeable. I ran bushings at the axle side and heims at the crossmemeber. On the little y at the driver's side it has a bushing at the axle and a heim joint connecting it to tabs that I welded on the long part of the y. So when the driver's side y link is all connected the Cruiser doesn't flex much cause the axle is binding against the links. But when the driver's side little y link is detatched, binding is cleared and it acts like a standard 3 link with panhard set up would. Hope that makes sense. Basically I wanted to incorporate a swap bar into the link design cause it's a daily driver snow wheeler and he won't be doing much rock crawling but can if he wants to.

So you remove the part of the "Y" when you hit the trail like a Say Bar disconnect?
Kind of cool!
Take some close-up pictures when you get a chance.

"Like a swaybar disconnect" Exactly, I'd probably leave it in for snow wheelin' but for rock crawling you'd disconnect it.
