Not particularly interested in posting but I figure I'd say I emailed you some pics.

No Will dont do it, with 6" you really are better off with 12.50(stability) and trim up some metal and go 35s. After my trimming and a year of tread gone my 33s look funny, but my 37s are waiting to go on.

Nice XJ

but DUDE, come-on thats more then 6in of lift.

That looks closer to 8 or 9, whose 6in lift springs did you buy?
Did you use a spacer also?

I do agree 35s on 6in is a good plan, cutting is better then lifting.
most 6in kits will require more cutting then the one in the picture. ok, well i cant see the rear wheel too well and how it is cut, but that is the problem area. You may not want to cut into your door jam, but you can shift your axle back afew inches then cut some more!!

..The two pictures of the XJ are with the same springs .....Just more fender trimming in last!...Re springs and 3/4" spacers......The whole suspension is being rebuilt..ie...Rockcrawler 6" springs...Same spacer..Tomken rear 6" springs ..Axle being moved back a couple of inches..." Folding " shackle set-up in rear..."Hy-Steer" and Rock-Ram assist....The shop is aslo rebuiling the arms for the front...I' will have pics of it when it is done!!...Oh...He has 36" SX's now too!...

I run 33x10.5 BFG ATKO's on probably around 5.5" of lift on my cherokee. I built a HP D44 front and with the '89 Grand Waggoneer 7" aluminum rims, the track width is 59.5" in the front. The rear is a '89 Grand Waggy D44 with disk brakes and 3/4" spacers for a track width of 60.5". I run quite a bit of road, so the narrow AT's work quite well for me. Offroad I would prefer a more aggressive tire perhaps with more width (33x12.5 TSL probably eventually), but I do get around pretty damn well on the 33" AT's and dual ARB's. Jeff

I have some pics of different projects at http://www.madxj.com in the tech section where I think you can find a few pics of the whole vehicle. Jeff

Well I used to run 33's on 5" of lift.
I will have to look for some pics.

I know am running 35's on 6.5" of lift.
Just did a bunch of trimming to fit them.

I will see what I can find for ya.

NAH,
Just get a budget boost and keep your factory tires, there plenty thin.

Here's a 33 x 12.50. Buy some 35" tires. Don't waste your time.

Slightly more trimming and 35" MT/R's or other will fit. You'll need to trim a little more to fit something in the Swamper line, however.

He just wanted a removable top jeep and got out the sawzall, no rollover before chopping the top. I haven't wheeled with him for at least a couple of years (a little out of my league for most runs) as he's running upper proving grounds, etc. My street driven XJ doesn't go there, but if I get to see him down there, I'll spectate/worship.....:D
