Hello, I need information about the chevrolet corvette C5 LS1 engine for a 4x4 aplication.

I am putting this engine in my land rover Discovery with a dodge NV4500, atlas 2 and klunev.

I dont know if this engine is good for a higth inclinations.

Any person know if exist any ECR for this engine for 4x4 use?

Thank you very much

The only thing you really need to do it find a Vortec 4.8/5.3/6.0 oil pan and swap it out with the C5 oil pan. The Vortec pans are pretty deep like a standard 350. You'll also need the pickup tube that bolts to the oil pump for the matching vortec oil pan.

Good luck!

if you dont have any clearance problems leave the vette pan it has much better oil control

whats your question about the engine?

I couldn't imagine anyone running a C5 oil pan in a 4x4 vehicle... First of all there is no way you would have clearance for the front driveshaft unless you are running a stupid amount of lift. He was asking about high inclinations - it would be horrible due to the shallow sump

Here is a comparison..
