If you found a complete kit for 1100, that would be a good deal...

Dude, you can buy a complete 305 TPI motor from GM Sports Salvage for $600. Go tthat way. you get all the stuff you need, and just swap over the things you want. Then sell the old motor.

'tators' on this board just converted his '76 CJ 258 to EFI with a kit that ran about $850 I believe. It runs 100 times better now with great fuel injected throttle response. Do a search and email him, he can give you some specifics. He installed it in a little over a day. The kit was very well put together and the the guy who sold it was very helpful as far as trouble shooting and suggestions. It came with almost everything I believe. I think the company is called Custom EFI or something along those lines. Email tators.
