I about busted a nut getting mine in and out of my daily driver when I bought it. Had the unload the thing by myself.

The rear is not that bad.

Sorry, don't have the exact weights. Best to ask on the Toyota board. I would not want to pay that shipping bill.

:laughing: Ain't that the truth! I had to pick mine up, put it in one garage, then we moved, took them to the new garage, and had to put them up on jack stands by myself to disassemble. Sorry, don't know any exact weights, but I thought it was hillarious when I read what Wayne wrote... so true! LOL. ~Steve

PS--- I think the weights where posted in one of the toy v. D44 threads. Try searching. I remember seeing the weights of Sammy, Toy, and D44 compared.

This should get you close:

- 1977 FJ40 front axle weighs 270 pounds (wet) with tie rod, drag link and steering stabilizer, minus hubs and brake calipers.
- Rear axle weighs 220 pounds (wet) complete.

Front Dana 44 weighs ~300lbs
Rear Dana 44 weighs ~250 lbs

I was going to guess ~ 250 lbs.

If the FJ40 front is 275, and has a larger R&P, that should work out to be close.

It's heavy as SHIOT tho!:D
