Need some tech help. I'm doing a SAS with a dana 60 from a 79 3/4 ford HP. Is there anything that will allow mw to use the stock ABS with the conversion. Thanks

3/4 ton with the snow plow option will be a high pinion dana 60. I own one that is how I know

1) You really don't need it.

2) You'd need to add wheel speed sensors and tone rings to the front hubs so the ABS can read the correct front wheel speed to determine a difference form the rear and engage the system.

Is this an expensive project add on?? I know Bill at Differential Engineering can probaly do it I might need to call him. Also BgGrnChvy did you have to use any spacers to keep your 16x10's from hitting the steering arms. My guy Cliff thats doing my Straight axle conversion said I might have to space the rims out. Were gonna try the new 38's on the axle as we build it. If not what is the offsett and or backspacing on your rims?

I got lucky and found a 79 3/4 ton with a HP 60. I got the front and rear axle for $600. The rear 60 is for sale if anyone needs it. If not i'm gonna put it under my detailing trailer.

Yea, it would be a bit of a project as the sensor would have to be knuckle mounted and the tone ring mounted to the hub. The stock Chevy IFS tone rings are pretty small and I don't think they will fit over the hub so you'd have to somehow figure a way to get the right pulses headed back to the comp as well as the a mechanical setup that fits.

No spacers, clears fine, 4.5" BS IIRC, it might be 4"'s. Eitherway it clears easy.

Thanks bro I'm sure I'll be picking your brain more throughout this project. I'm replacing my knock sensors and the oil pan gasket this weekend. Nasty little oil leak, I already replaced the oil lines but it didn't fix the problem. Thought it was the rear main but the oil pan seems to be the culprit. Well find out soon. Does anyone have a pic of the knock sensor silicone dam project??
