I have been offered a set of stock springs from a 76 F-250 if I will go and get them. My interest in them is if they will fit a 79 F-250 that we are rebuilding. I would appreciate any information that anyone has. It is a 200 mile round trip so it would be nice to know if they will work before I drive that far. Thanks.

The front will bolt on and give you about 3" of lift and the bushing are the same as your 79.
The rear won't work, they are too narrow. In 77-1/2 4X f-250 rear springs changed from 2-1/2" to 3" wide.

Thanks for the info---- the 3" of lift is what I was hoping for to run 33's. Any ideas on springs/shackle flip for the rear that would level it out, or are custom springs needed?

I haven't done it but I think if you do a shacle flip using a stock bracket for the front of the rear spring, (in other words you'll have the same spring hangers on both ends of the rear springs), you will wind up slightly higher in the back, about like the factory rake.
You should be able to run 35s with 3" of lift. I ran 33s and no lift, they didn't rub. Now I have 4" of lift and 35s and it looks like 37s would fit.
