First off.....:D:D:D:D My arms are VERY happy!!!

Drove beaker last night for the first time since the power steering was completed. Holy crap is it nice. Pump is nice and strong, 3.5 turn box is the shiznit!!! oh yeah. 1 finger turning at idle, sitting still, in the rocks......gotta love it.

A little touchy on the street, but once I got used to it, it's a nice. :D:D:D I couldn't imagine using anything but a 3.5 turn box though. Anything less would be crazy!! :D:D:D

Action shots coming soon!

I am sure glad I have a 4.25 turn box. I personally think the 3 turn boxes are too fast for street driving. But what can you do, power steering is great and you do get used to the faster turning boxes.

Congrats Glo!

I have to agree, power steering is one of the best mod's there is!!
But I feel the best box to use is the 4:25 ratio anything less can get you into real trouble, if you have a high COG and your steering ratio is under 4:25 you could find your self wrong side up or worse! It might be ok on a trail rig, but a freeway speeds you could end up dead!

I think the only person who ends up wrong side up more than me is Nolan! ;) I don't need any help getting there either. Power steering would have actually saved my butt a few times.

Freeway speeds?? freeway speeds??? oh man that's a good one. Something about the F-motor, 4:10's and unbalanced swampers make freeway speeds a joke in beaker!! :D:D:D

Also I drove my buddies cruiser with the 4.25 turn box. And honestly I didn't notice a difference. .75 of a turn ain't that much.

Driving slow you will not notice the difference. The center part of the steering gear in the 3.25 turn box (I.e. going straight) is the same as a 4.25 box. The only differences are when you get closer to the steering stop. That is why they are variable ratio.

Personally I ran the 3.25 box and now I have the 4.25 box. Not a heck of a lot of difference. But the 3.25 is a bit twitchier on the road.

Glo, I am sure that beaker could get up to 55 or 60 coming down the hill into Carson. you would just have to tow it up there!! ;)

Now, We want the pics!!!!!

:D

Hey didn't say she wouldn't do it, I just said that at that speed, twitchy steering is the very very least of your fears!! hahaha

Although it's much better since I tubed the front end. :D
