So here's a part that I found falling out of my trigger assembly as I was cleaning it / showing it to my wife:

Can anyone tell me where it's supposed to go? I've checked here: http://www.e-gunparts.com/schemzoom.asp?schem=0840z500 and can't really find this part within the blowup of the trigger assembly itself (plus it's really hard to see)

Looking at an actual picture ... it looks like a broken part of one of the springs. Can't tell from the picture, is the material round or flat?

the safety lever spring?
that's what I thought, but the whole assembly works fine without this piece.... it weird.. I'm not sure though if its safe. Tha safety works just fine without this piece... I seen other schematics but unable to determine exactly what this is...
the edges of the piece looks to be original ie not broken off... this is really wierd....

I finally figured it out, for those of you who own these shotguns.... the spring goes into the square hole on top of the trigger assembly. The 'pinched' side faces forward, it holds the retaining pin in place when the trigger assembly is installed in the receiver.
