I've had a brake line blow twice (one front and one rear), and each time I lost all braking on my TJ. I don't know much about brakes, but from what I understand shouldn't the master cylinder still allow the opposite set of brakes to provide stopping help? Thanks for any help.

yes the dual chamber MC is designed to do just that.

I think the bigger question you should ask is why you are losing brake lines in a relatively new rig. Are they too short? Are they routed in harm's way?

They were both the steel lines that rusted through. I don't have a lift so they are all stock routed. I'm just confused about the MC. Is there any way to lose a brake line and lose all the brakes, or should I just replace the MC too?

If that is the case why when you bleed brakes and open the valve on one calaper why does the pedal go all the way to the floor??
