Are you going to be in the 2.5 ton TJ? I have some tips for you, run the COWAN trail and Stagecoach, if you can make sure you hit Creek Bed #5 (Bryan's Creek Bed). These are the HARDCORE trails, the COWAN trial has many obstacles and it runs into Creek Bed #5. Look for some guys named John Greene and Beau Byrom, they will show you a great ride. The MTTR guys are very friendly and helpful. I hope you have a great time and TAKE PICS!

mm.. creek bed 5 aka Bryan's creekbed...actually it is spelled Brian's creekbed...for someone who drives a blue willys jeep truck and a grey cab truck(hint...look at my picture)..Beau is leading a ride in stagecoach and John is leading a ride in Cowan, but, not creekbed 5..myself and gary hurt are leading the CB5 rides..Cowan has the best trails..but, if it should rain(which it doesn't look like right now) be prepared for some of the HARDEST stuff you have ever ridden and be ready for the rev limiter:D will be there tomorrow at my grandmother's...hope to see you there.:D

onetons10andwillys,

Ok, ill look out for you. I think we ran the creekbed last year when we were there. One of our trail leaders last year had that kaiser on 44's and 2.5tons, it was BAD :P I'm guessing they'll put us on the harder stuff when we check in. By the way, is it required to have a rear tow hook?

I'm in the process of getting my rig ready to leave tomorrow night. I think I've driven it two miles which included the trip to the exaust shop, I sure hope it works :P

Can't wait...

rear tow hook is not mandatory...I guess you might need it if you plan on pulling the fellow behind you:D ..kaiser with 44's was Chad moliter..He did not lead a ride on a creekbed 5 last year.i believe chad's ride was in Stagecoach...see you there:D

onetons10andwillys,

Man I'm pumped. Good deal on the rear tow hook, I don't have one and don't need another thing to add before we leave. Just pulled an allnighter getting my dash wired up and installed, looks like I'm gonna make it afterall.

Yeah, Chad sounds right.

See you there.

Sorry Brian, oh well.... last time I was there Gary Hurt was really Hurt, had surgery, but was still trailriding! Does he still have the Jeep body of the chevy truck frame rig? CB#5 is the shit, and if it does rain I cann't see many getting past the Drills of the Cowan ride, that's slick stuff. I haven't made it over to Stagecoach yet but I hear it's a nice ride too. Wish I could make it but my best friends getting married this weekend and my junk is torn apart in the garage so:( :( :( .....oh well, you guys just GET IT!:D

I plan to be there Friday afternoon. Stagecoach is one of my favorites. Anyone know what the trail near " Jump-Off" is called? It is supposedly pretty tough and runs down a creekbed. We saw some people running it 2 years ago, but never got the time to do it. It starts in the same place, but breaks off to the right. I would like to get someone to lead us on that one if possible.Hope to see y'all there....

That area may be off limits this weekend , I was with a group on the 11th . on a scouting run for the MTTR rock challenge . The lead group was run off of that area and was told it was closed to everything . Maybe a fellow MTTR member can explain further .
