Just got back from Moab. Took the new creation out for a test run. My first trail was Moab Rim which is although not real difficult but a nice off camber on a cliff face. Basically I could have pissed myself in a couple of spots but refrained. I had Aaron with me along for the ride and a couple of times when I looked at him when we were at 45 degreees or more, his face was white. This will take some getting used to....

Second trail was leading a bunch on Porcupine Rim, nice scenery. The next day was Helldorado..... I have some pics.

I count only 7 pics but what I see I like. So was it worth it? Did everything work as you expected or did it exceed your hopes?

Definetly need to see some more

Glad you made it out!!

Time to change your screen name. Belly dragger just doesn't work anymore, unless you are driving over a honda civic or something. :D

Nice shots Michael, I wish i hadn't been leading that day, or i would have run it in the stinkbug with you. I wish i coulda seen it work in person on something other than the ramp. My rig seemed to work pretty Damn well for getting running 10 hours before driving to utah but i gotta say that thing is BAD, makes mine look puny.

That Amigo is the dank sh*t. And that says a lot coming from my mouth. Let's just say I am not a big Isuzu fan, but that Amigo is the pimp trick.

that is just bad ass Michael. I was very jealous of everyone that got to go to Moab this year. Even more so now that I could of seen the beast in action. Don't destroy it right away, i'd like to get a short run behind the wheel some year. Put it in 370:1..... honestly what could I hurt, it'd take me 5 minutes to travel 10 feet:p

Beautiful Man. It's fully a 2 thumbs up for style, originality.Thanks. It's definately not your average Isuzu. I enjoy haveing people come up and talk to me about it or look it over while it's parked.

Time to change your screen name. Belly dragger just doesn't work anymore, unless you are driving over a honda civic or something. I think I'll keep the name for sentimental reasons.
Ya mean ya didn't do Upper Helldorado??? That thing looks like it would do well in Upper Helldorado.I tend to agree. One problem area would be the turn to the right going up the slab face with the rock ledge jutting out on the left. Might be a little tight. I will attempt it next time I go, which would be in October or November. We walked Upper and it looks like fun.
did you tow it there?Yes.
Somebody should tell him you can't do trails like that in an Amigo! .....till now. Looks like a sweet rig, the paint's a little nice though.hehehehe yeah I used to take it places even before the build up but now it can play anywhere it likes. The paint is relativley fresh. That's basically the second body rework and 6th paint job since I've owned it. Don't worry most of the shine will be gone by Christmas.

[quote]Next year we will conspire for a "modified run" especially now that a lot of attendees are whining for easier trails. Yours is awesome and the fact that you did it yourself makes it all the sweeter. Don't sell your rig or yourself short, you did an awesome job.
[quote]forildo, that thing would do fine up there....Thanks for the vote of confidence now the driver needs to catch up.
That Amigo is the dank sh*t. And that says a lot coming from my mouth. Let's just say I am not a big Isuzu fan, but that Amigo is the pimp trick. Thanks! Anymore it's no different than a lot of vehicles on this board not much factory parts left.

Where's the obstacle between pics #2 and 3??? U didn't take the bypass to the left did you? I hope not what did it look like? I don't remember taking any bypases. I didn't build it up like this to take bypasses. Jog my memory.

I believe those pics were taken leaving the creek bed and beginning the trail right at the start.

in my defense, when i looked over at micheal he was pretty pale too. you had to be there. the truck made everything hard easy, and everything easy hard.

i'm just glad we got off moab rim alive. i was starting to wonder. i have about 500 pics for you if you need them michael.

Although we didn't get to do any of the same trails at the same time I still had a blast visiting with you afterwards. Moab Rim was the only place I took body damage all week. As soon as I get my pics uploaded I'll post the Hammock Picture of Michael swinging in a hammock under his rig between the axles.:)
My wife thought I was crazy to have my truck painted two weeks before Moab. Ha! I just told her to get over it, at least I don't have to see the clear coat peeling off the hood anymore.:D
Moab was a blast guys,
Dallas, Ya done good dude. Talk about building under presure!!!!!

Thanks everyone!

Yep Mike and Bob did a great job. Turned out much better than I had hoped. There is still some fine tuning to be done mostly for my preferances but it's done and works like a champ. As you can read into Aaron and mine posts, the sidehills are thrilling as the flexy nature allows the body to roll substainially with minimal off camber. We are looking into Currie's Anti-Rock bars to help minimize the body lean. Course I could just get used to leaning 45 degrees and knowing it's still very stable just feels extremely uncomfortable.

There's some Isuzu left, the body, frame and engine.

Man I love seeing built under dog trucks :)
Yeah going from IFS to solid with that soft spring rate and extra altitude is a big change. 3 inches more on top of what I had and going to 35's was noticable on my truck
I can't imagine going from a couple inches on IFS to what 8-10 inches of lift and 4 inches in tire radius on your truck must have been a big change.

I can't wait till mine grows up...if it ever does...

I think i have a better chance of making a full tube buggy before i get crazy with the 'migo tho. I'm happy with the 32's and 3" lift...maybe a body lift but dat's it for now. Killer stuff Michael...can't wait to run with it next year :) Is it time for Zuzoo yet?
