k, well, it finally happened. Living next to a bar, and parking near a bar finally resulted in an alcohol related collision. I had already left early for spring break to go to an interview and I get a call at about 1:30 in the morning from my roommates saying that my scout had gotten smoked by an f150 while parked accross from the house. Evidently, a regular at the local bar had gotten tanked up and decided it was time to drive home as fast as possible. He hit my scout hard enough to knock it almost 90 degrees from where it was previously parked perpendicular to the street. Then threw it in reverse, floored it and headed home. My roommates called the police, which takes awhile. By the time the sheriff got there, they had collected enough pieces of the truck to know that it was a mid 90's f-150 and some of the regulars at the bar had a good idea of who the driver was and where he lived. This turned out to not be too important as a quick look around the area found the offender passed out in his truck in a ditch 2 blocks away. He spent the night in jail. It is hard to tell the damage to the ford without having seen it but from what I heard, the scout came out WAY better.

Looks like its totalled! I say its worth every penny you put into it, get reciepts, sue, and then buy it back for a couple hundred and presto ~ you'll have enough to build it any way you want! :D :D :D

Seriously though, sorry to hear about the drunkard. Those guys suck big time.

Sorry to hear that man. Good thing they caught him, do you know yet if he has insurance? Or are they giving you shit for the accident being on private property? Hope all turns out for the best.
