I was planning on running Humvee beadlocks on my Chevy K30. What kind of problems/maintaince will I have to deal with using it as my off-road vehicle and daily driver? Anyone else use them on a daily driver? thanks

Whats the matter are your 31's not making it up the curb in the mall?

no one told you about the search button yet, have they? Humvee beadlocks are a Bi-Daily subject. More info than you ever need to know.

welcome to POR

I've been running my Jeep with 32 bolt Allied beadlocks as a daily driver for a few weeks and have zero problems with my beadlocks on the street, including many police officers sitting right by me looking at them.

My only comment to you is-

If you don't know what kind of maintenance beadlocks need, then you don't need them!

I run mine pretty regularly on the street too... depending on your state, it may or may not be legal to run 'em (beadlocks themselves aren't illegal, but a case could be made that protruding bolt heads are a hazard, or any one of a bazillion other things that a cop is gonna find if he's pissed) on the street. Colorado, they're legal, and I run 'em all the time.

Like Bigdude said, though... if you think you can just put beadlocks on and forget about 'em, please don't run 'em. At all.

i am not too worried about legality, i am more worried about the maintenance that you guys talk about. like do all i have to worry about is the beadlock bolts breaking or loosening? or is there more to the upkeep of the wheels than just that?

thank you

Mostly bolt condition--loose/tight/broken/whatever.

Scott, thanks for answering the guy's question.

If you guys hate this type of newbie question, just don't post at all and it will go down the board.

When you post "you're suck a fucking idiot" repeatedly, this topic stays at the top of the forum....

I'm stupid and I figured that one out...just wanted to point that out. Sorry for prolonging your excrutiating agony:rolleyes:
