It should, its basiclly the same motor, although with the SC version you will need the wiring harness and the ECU to swap in with the new motor. Thats alot of work for not much gain and having to run 93 octane, personally I'd run a NA motor. And if the HB is older than a 90 you'll have to convert the new motor to TBI, which probably cant be done on the SC motor.

It fits. Its already been done by a guy in AZ.

Nice truck. What do you have know the Z24i (TBI) or the VG30i (TBI)??

I would at least upgrade to a vg30e. MPI. 1990+ are all MPI VG30s.

More pix please.:cool2:

It will go, but you'll need to do the wiring, comp, etc. You'll also have to use the newer accessories, or do some crank work, but that could affect how the supercharger drives, not sure exactly where the pulley is for them. I have an NA 3.3 in my '89. I don't think I would bother just switching to MPI alone. My 3.3 runs great on the TBI, and guys are supercharging up to 300 hp on TBI.

I was under the impression that the SC motor needed the SC tranny and t-case. Along with the complete wiring harness and such.

Really only the harness, but like crawler said, you need to do some work to the crank, which I wont go over cuzz its already posted and if someone wants it, just ask. Also Rhino asked if the 3.3 will fit on a V6 tranny. And I doubt he'll have a problem doing a harness swap. looking at his truck.

a 3.3 swap makes a pretty healthy difference.
Here's my write-up on the details:http://www.4x4parts.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=205223&an=0&page=1#Post205223
