well this works good if your into crazy vibrations at idle or low rpm driving... clears up at 1800 or so....not driveline related....seemed like a good high clearance mount idea before i made it and tried it.... if things only worked as good on this jeep as they do in my head........the stock style mount hangs down too low for me...... its a 400 and a 205....http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t311/jackson76550/mount.jpgany softer rubber bushings that might work here? or better ideas? pics? thanks

those bushings on the bottom are useless, maybe even the reason your having vibes. i think you ought to find a one-piece mount and use it. i know energy suspension has good ones at different heights. i know i have a gm one that is about 2 inches tall sitting around somewhere. but what you have there is most likely the reason you have vibes...

EDIT: i forgot to answer your question for ideas. weld that mount plate on the bottom of the tube. that will give you another inch or so of space. if i had the part number for that low profile gm mount i would give it to you. just research daystar/ energy's gm mounts.
