For any of you who remember, i asked about puttin a 289 in my cruiser. Looks like its finally about to take place. I mustered up all the parts i need and well, now the fun begins. I'm ironing out a little problem i might have, will the stock master and slave cylinder for the toyota clutch have enough throw length to make the 289 clutch work? My stang has a mechanical clutch, and well frankly i never liked it and would rather stick with hydraulic. For those that have put this motor in your rig, what did you guys do for this? Hopefully its nothing, but with my luck that won't be the case. Thanks for any advice.

Oh yeah, if doug is readin this thanks for the T18 and D 300 :) check's in the mail....really

i know that the stock hydraulics work perfect on a chevy conversion and i see no reason why a ford clutch setup would need more throw.
good luck, ford boy! :flipoff2:

Even though mine is a Chebby, it's a similar setup...

A bracket was made ot hold the slave cylinder, and have it push against the mechanical linkage for the clutch... the slave actually sits right next to the oil filter on my small block.

I can take a picture if you'd like..

Yeah it should work, I have seen it used with a 302/NP435 setup before.
