How will a ZJ do towing my jeep on a trailer. The Zj has a V8/Auto, and the jeep is pretty light.

Coils suck for towing, especially if they are in the rear. They will sag which will make it handle pretty bad. Plus a cherokee doesn't have much wheelbase which doesn't help either. It will pull it, just not very well. If you are looking at buying it as just a tow rig I would get something else....ie a ford w/ a powersmoke.

There is a guy in our club that tows his 97 TJ with his moms Grand Cherokee.....he has used it to tow from College Station, Tx to Farmington and to Las Cruces, both are around a ten hour drive. he says it tows pretty good and has not had any problems. His jeep is pretty big jeep. He runns 35" BFG MTs so he can compete in the stock modified class of the BFG ProRock series. He runs 38's on other tral runs.

if you already have the Grand, it would make a decent tow rig, otherwise get something heavier.....

Tow my POS (~4k) on a dual axled trailer with a '98 w/Up Country. Feel the power difference but it's fine.
