Wow, makes the tires look tiny.  I like the rear bumper & taking off the tailgate. I've thought of doing something similar.

You cut the fenders on a straight rust free Aristocrat? Wow, the boys at binderbulletin would hang ya for that, better not cross post!

Lookin' good. Bet it works better than the ol' stock 800 springs too, huh? :D

See ya at NWBRU in like two months (already!).

Thanks guys.
Yes it is too tall. The springs were just re arched and will sag a long way.
Yes same old front 60 with same old 38.5 14.50's. 3 1/2" backspace.
It wasn't quite rust free but close to it. I been defending myself on that one for quite a while now.:)

WOW I thought those were 33's :flipoff2:

Seriously though it looks like it'll kick ass on the trails.

Shit you don't even need body armor, rocks don't come that tall do they  :flipoff2:

One question, why such an angle on the rear shocks?? Trail only or DD also??

You don't need to lower it. You just need some 44's. Very nice.

Damn I hate it when I have to give out a compliment.

The upper mount on the shocks is adjustable. In the pic they are all the way foreward. Once I get them dialed in probably won't mess with them after that.

I drive in the garage on a spare/scrap set of rims with no tires.:smokin:

I too like the new look. The rear fenders are trimed with 2"x2" .120" tube to hold it all together. Took some delicate welding but turned out OK.
I want to put a net type tail gate cover on to keep stuff from falling out. Don't really need it cause everything is tied down. I guess just for stuff like garbage picked up off the trail . Stuff like that.:)

Dang! I know you're pretty tall n' all but.. did YOU need a ladder? :D

I take it when it settles the rear axle is going to come back some, right? As it sits, it looks like you should've moved it back a bit more to take advantage of the rear.. uhh.. fenders.

So *THAT*'s why you shaved the Dana 80! I bet it was dragging when you tried to move it in/out of the garage. :D

With the unsprung weight he has, height is not an issue. I *think* he lowered his engine 3 or 4 inches, also. Between that, and the weight of those axles/tires, width of his stance, I bet he can handle a much higher camber than even a low slung stock Scout II.

He is going to have to watch for low lying trees though. ;)

BTW, it looks taller in the picture than in real life. We are supposed to hit Reider pit tomorrow, and I already have film in the camera, with fresh batteries..... Gonna get some good pictures of him gettin it awn....

Sweet Rick,

FYI still working on haveing thoes steel 2.5" wide 6 degree shims made for ya. He wont make single runs anymore, only production runs. As soon as i have a run you will be the first to get the 2.5 steeliees.

Talk with ya later. I will send that FI harness for the Closes loop separate to ya.

Looks good! - needs 42s, but looks DANG GOOD. DUDE, now I'm really sick to my stomach. Freaking Snoopy has been sitting waiting for me to get these other guy's trucks out of here. Now seeing another 800 w/ a similar setup makes my tummy turn for getting my own up and running. UGH!.

I do have a couple questions for ya, how do you like the front fender trimming? I see that you've followed the contour below the headlight but above the blinkers. My 38.5s hit that part and I was planning on trimming more, not as much as you have, but now after seeing what you've done I'm thinking thats a better way...at least cleaner than what I was thinking. I'm glad to see that another one is going tail-gate less. My spare is going back there ~ kinda pre-runner style, kinda not.

Wheels, those are 15x10s right? I'm glad to see theydon't stick out as much as I thought they would.

I finally figured out what I'm going to do with the bed area. The stock tanks are going away, and then I'm cutting most of the stock bed out, I'm able to get new 14 guage treadplate for $50 per 4'x8' sheet so I'm going to rebuild the whole bed with it. the stock tank area will become two deep cubby-holes, a single center seat will be snugged in on both sides by more cubby-holes and a 30 gallon fuel cell will be directly above the rear axle. The bed will be the same level as the *step* in back - it'll all be a false-floor with storage under the plate. From the fuel-cell back it'll slant toward the tail-gate mounts which will double as my spare tire mount, it'll hing up to allow access to the storage below.

All freakin dreams...soon to be completed (only one more rig before I can bring it in. But your's lLooks darn good...REAL darn good.

*sigh*

The 38's still rub on the bottom of the rear quarters at full stuff. Course it has to tweak a looooong way before it rubs.

I do have a couple questions for ya, how do you like the front fender trimming? I'm happy with the front trimming as well. I had planned on protecting it somehow but it seems to be fairly safe just like it is. The fronts don't rub at all. It's now a reverse shackle and the front axle is slightly foreward of stock. I'm glad to see that another one is going tail-gate less. My spare is going back there ~ kinda pre-runner style, kinda not. I plan on installing a cargo type net in that opening where the tailgate used to be. Just havn't goten to it yet.

Wheels, those are 15x10s right? I'm glad to see theydon't stick out as much as I thought they would. 16.5x12 plus the Rockstompers. Thier quite wide but after installing the Rockstompers my overall width didn't change at all. I still can't explain that.

I had planned to make better use of where the tanks used to be but after tying the cage into the frame it used up most of that space.

Thanks man. Now if I can onlycontinue to keep the woman from painting it.
