Now normally I'd bang off a patch paint out of some sheet metal, weld it in place and seal it up with some seam sealer. However the body mount part has me confused.
Does the bolt just pass though the floor and bolt to the frame or what?

What's the best way to fix this?

It looks like it just passes through? I would dump that cab and find a better one!

Finding a cab for a 1982 Toyota Pick Up is next to impossible in Ontario.
CA is far away and shipping will kill me.

I know this is diffrent but, I removed that body mount and welded the cab to my sliders with 1" strap metal going along the bottom of the door jam to the top of my slider.

I used expanded metal on tub where the tires were hitting also ...... its warm here in Az :)

I'm a Scout owner, and that looks just fine. Actually, it is just in its early years of rust.:D If you're planning on patching that area then I would create your patch panel (.060 or .080 or whatever you have) and then reinforce the area where the bolt passes with a 3/16 or 1/4" doubler.

It was suggested to me to use a washer or two to re-enforce the body mount.
Good idea?
