I have got a 93 chevy truck with a 4 inch suspension, and almost every time I half way get on the gas from a dead stop I get a clunking sound and feeling. I have checked the shocks and there not really tight but feel okay on the polymer bushings. The auto tranie fluid is red and the driveline feels tight.
My buddie thinks it's from the truck squating when I get going and it's a suspension thing, I just want to see if any of you yoda's out there can tell me what it may or could be?
It would be greatly appreciated;)

The drive line does not have any play in it, or is there another way to check it?

It could be the drive shaft slip yoke! I have a '00 with the same problem. I am told that all 99 and up have the same thing mine does. The fix for it is a nickle plated slip yoke. The noise comes from the seal. or so Im told.

You must have turned the radio down. Turn it up some, good for another couple hundred miles ;)

I dont know the cost, and Im not even sure that they are available for your application. Im sure that the shop time would be atleast an hour or two.

hello, mcfly! I vote either engine mounts or tranny mount. Easy to diagnose. Put the truck in gear and load the engine against the brakes and have a friend watch the engine and tranny. You should be able to see the engine moving in the mounts orthe tranny up and down. Poly in the engine and rubber in the tranny works for me. You will hear more engine in the cabin, but at least you won't push your fan into the radiator.
Turn the radio up is the best advice I have heard yet.
